HOW TO CONSUME PILI NUTS?

Culture

Due to its very high fat content, the Pili nut has a buttery, olive-like roasted pumpkin seed flavor. The pulp is both creamy and slightly fibrous. In the Philippines, this nut is usually roasted and sweetened as a snack or incorporated into various culinary preparations.

Our Pili

The healthiest and tastiest way is to consume it straight out of its shell. Each nut is notched to allow easy opening. An opening tool and instructions for use are provided in each product purchased.

The nut

To benefit from all the nutritional benefits of these nuts, it is best to eat them raw. Pili nuts are perfect for fueling up at breakfast time or as a snack. Like all oilseed fruits, they can also be eaten grilled, salted or, for maximum indulgence,
coated with caramel or chocolate.

  • They can be used:

    • In the preparation of savory and sweet recipes.
    • In making your own homemade bread, in biscuits or in gourmet cakes.
    • Crushed or ground.
    • To enhance your salads, your yogurts, your cereals, your ice creams...

It should be noted that pili nuts are an important source of fat and protein

100 grams of pili nuts contains 31g of lipids and almost 11g of proteins.

  • Important notice!

    • Despite the careful care taken during the sorting and washing processes, it is possible that certain nuts are not edible, in the same way as all oilseeds sold in their shells.
    • The small booklet provided contains the explanation of the method of opening the pili nut.
